A letter to our customers

Dear friends,

​

For us, this year marks 70 years in business.  70 years of hard work, 70 years of harvests, shipments, back-breaking summers, tradeshows, and friendships.  Looking back at all we have accomplished over the past seven decades inspires me.  When my grandfather started the nursery, he had goals of success and longevity in the industry, but I am not sure if he ever imagined accomplishing 70 years.

I am proud to be a part of the company my father and grandfather fought so hard to keep alive.  We have had prosperous years and we have had very hard years.  Fast years and years that just kept dragging on.  Years when harvest came easy and years when the rain just wouldn’t end.  I’ve heard so many stories from my father and grandfather that it feels like I was working right beside them from the very beginning.

I’m proud of the legacy my family has built in this industry and am proud to carry it on.  I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be able to come to work every day and do what I love.  To plant a tree in the ground one year and watch it grow through the next few.  To hear our customers praise our product and build relationships with them that get stronger each year.  I am privileged to be here, and I have my father and grandfather to thank.

Before my grandfather passed away I promised him I would make sure the nursery sees at least 100 years, and that’s a promise I plan on keeping.  Lucky for me it doesn’t feel like work, it feels like a dream come true.  Thank you all for being a part of our story.  You are the reason we celebrate these milestones and we can’t thank you enough.  Cheers to the next 30 years!
